Lucid Circuit is a Santa Monica based company that is developing an AI microchip for edge-based cognitive aerospace applications. By enabling machine learning directly onboard spacecrafts and drones, data transmissions are greatly reduced and analytics become available to strategists and other space platforms in real-time.

We are currently seeking a business management professional that can bring to the company as many of the following capabilities as possible:

Manage aspects of the imminent company expansion, including:

  • Office/Lab setup
  • Equipment & materials purchasing
  • Personnel recruitment and initial vetting
  • Recruitment and vetting Visiting Research Assistants (student interns)

Customer relations:

  • Interact with and ensure customer needs, requests and inquiries are followed up in a timely fashion
  • Integrate inputs from team members and draft monthly report submissions to government customers
  • Help track contract milestones and deadlines

Business development:

  • Work with the CEO and staff to rapidly develop an understanding of company products and capabilities
  • Work with the CEO to identify and seek out new business opportunities
  • Maintain/grow (take ownership of) business development pipelines
  • Take ownership of company social media and blog
  • Follow up on company outreach to potential customers
  • Integrate inputs from team members and draft proposals and white-papers

Ensure functionality:

  • Help establish and enforce company policies and values
  • Manage service providers for payroll, accounting and bill-pay et cetera.
  • Ensure bills are paid and invoices are accurate
  • Identify, hire and manage contractors, as needed
  • Liaison for facilities, utilities providers, and any other office contractor needs
  • Manage the unexpected


  • Manage employee recruitment efforts
  • Coordinate travel and logistics
  • Organize and manage hosted events for employees and guests


  • The role will require attending aerospace related events within the greater Los Angeles area and occasional travel within the US and possibly Europe. The ideal candidate will be able to travel approximately 2-3 days every 6-8 weeks
  • The candidate must be adept at interacting with customers, collaborators and the public in professional settings such as conferences, trade shows, academic forums and other work-related social settings.
